ENTRY DRAFT PROSPECT: JORDAN HALL

Delaware grad expected to be selected high in 2007 Entry Draft

08/25/2007

Jordan Hall, a recent graduate of Delaware University, is one of the consensus top prospects for the September 1 Entry Draft at Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. The 22-year-old transition player won gold with Team Canada last year and is playing alongside NLL stars such as Chris Gill and Athan Iannucci this summer in New Westminster. One coach in the league says Hall is "the best overall player in the draft."

The Surrey, British Columbia native (Fleetwood Park High School) was the University of Delaware's second leading scorer with 38 points on 26 goals and 12 assists and ranked second on the team with 54 ground balls. He scored at least one point in each of his final 31 career games and ended the season as the leading career scorer among all active NCAA Division I midfielders. Hall played in 66 career games with 61 starts and recorded 140 points on 85 goals and 55 assists and scooped up 184 ground balls. He ranks No. 13 on the all-time UD list for assists and points and No. 17 for goals and his goal just three seconds into a 2006 game vs. Albany is an NCAA record for fastest goal to start a game. He also recorded six career hat tricks, including four in 2007.

Hall also played summer lacrosse for New Westminster in his native BC, alongside Edmonton's Chris Gill and Philadelphia's Athan Iannucci. Hall is sixth on the team in scoring during the regular season with 38 points in twelve games played. Hall's team reached the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) finals this summer. "He's playing against of NLL players already, and playing well", said one NLL general manager of Hall. "He's older than the other guys in the draft (Hall turns 23 on August 31st) and has maturity from playing in college and against NLL talent for the past two summers."

NLL scouts rave about his versatility. "He was a midfielder in college. In the indoor game, he runs transitional defense and can play both ends. He's the most NLL-ready player in the draft", said one scout. "His learning curve will be short, Best equipped to step and do some damage. I'm not sure if he's an absolute offensive dynamo, but he's the best overall player in the draft. Look for him to make an immediate impact."
