Miles Thompson

Miles Thompson was drafted third overall in the 2014 National Lacrosse League (NLL) draft by the Minnesota Swarm. Following the team’s relocation, he continued his career with the Georgia Swarm. In September 2024, Thompson signed a one-year agreement to remain with the Swarm. However, due to injury, he was placed on the season-ending injured reserve list in November 2024.

Miles Thompson, born on December 8, 1990, is a Haudenosaunee professional lacrosse player from the Hawk Clan of the Onondaga Nation. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches and weighing 185 pounds, he plays as a forward, shooting right-handed. Thompson played collegiate lacrosse at the University at Albany, where he formed a formidable attack line with his brother Lyle and cousin Ty, collectively known as the “Thompson Trio.” In 2014, he shared the prestigious Tewaaraton Trophy with Lyle, marking the first time Native American players received the award. Professionally, Thompson has competed in both the NLL with the Georgia Swarm and in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) with Chaos Lacrosse Club.
