Messenger was drafted by the Vancouver Warriors (then the Vancouver Stealth) with the 39th overall selection in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft. He was acquired by PCLC in 2022 after spending time in Vancouver and with the San Diego Seals.
Messenger finished his Jr. A career as the all-time points leader for the Delta Islanders, finishing with 291 points in 76 career regular season games. Messenger was a member of the 2016 team that won the BCJALL championship, and participated in the 2016 Minto Cup.
Messenger’s cousin, Mike, currently plays for the Saskatchewan Rush.
